La force physique et l’autorité
Si la force musculaire constituait réellement une supériorité, ayant pour conséquence logique et nécessaire la domination, l’homme ne serait évidemment pas le roi de la création. Tant d’animaux la surpassant en vigueur physique! D’autre part — parmi les hommes — les chefs, les maîtres se recruteraient exclusivement dans le monde des « forts » de la halle ou des athlètes de la foire aux pains d’épices.
J’ajouterai enfin que le « droit du plus fort » est un non sens et une infamie dans une société qui se prétend civilisée !……
D’ailleurs, cette faiblesse relative de la femme — que, soit dit en passant, une éducation mieux comprise modifierait heureusement, — cette faiblesse do la femme ne peut être considérée comme une » infériorité », c’est-à-dire comme une tare, un défaut, puisqu’elle a pour cause principale une fonction naturelle infiniment noble, une « souffrance » sacrée entre toutes et digne de vénération profonde.

Physical Strength and Authority
If muscular strength really constituted a superiority, with domination as its logical and necessary consequence, man would obviously not be the king of creation. So many animals surpass him in physical vigor! On the other hand — among men — the leaders and the masters would be recruited exclusively from the world of the “strong” of the hall or the athletes of the gingerbread fair.
Finally, I will add that the “right of the strongest” is nonsense and an infamy in a society that claims to be civilized! ……
Moreover, this relative weakness of women — which, by the way, a better understood education would fortunately modify — this weakness of women cannot be considered as an “inferiority,” that is to say as a flaw, a defect, since its main cause is an infinitely noble natural function, a “suffering” sacred among all and worthy of deep veneration.
